For Our Children, For Our Families: A Call to Action Faith Summit
The For Our Children | For Our Families-A Call To Action- Faith Summit aims to educate and raise awareness regarding all aspects of child welfare. This event is intended for those who are concerned about the welfare of our children including; Pastors, church ministry leaders, the general community, local government officials, non-profit leaders. Our Call To Action-Community to get involved in supporting our children and families. Everyone can do something.....We'll show you how.
Our vision is to to provide current data on child weldare, especially about Black children and families, including those in kinship care. We hope to create a safe space for collaboration and idea-sharing discussions.
In addition to educating attendees on the data, we want to mobilize the faith community/community at large to take action, in supporting those impacted by foster care and child welfare system and to learn HOW WE can help keep families together. Before leaving we will offer churches and ministries tangible ideas on how they can support.
